Well, I'm pretty pumped lately. Girlicious is coming to my city in about two weeks and I got fantastic seats. My fave group are most definitely the Pussycat Dolls, but Girlicious is right up there with them. Definitely looking forward to that.

And I guess it turns out they didn't hire me up in Fort McMurray as a pipe welder like I was supposed to and earn like, $1000 a week. Guess I'll have to make my money they way most fresh-out-of-school people do. Slaving away at minimum wage, lah.

Well, actually, speaking of minimum wage. I currently work at Dollarama as a supervisor. I was putting up with too much shit, and it's got a lot of responsibility, which I think is too much for my taste. Well, I always get stuck working alongside this douchebag of a supervisor who doesn't do anything until it's time for the paperwork, in which he tries to tell me what to do. When really I've worked there for about 5 or 6 months and he's barely even been there a month. And know what? They promoted him to a supervisor maybe a week or two after he started. Man, I was there for two months before I got promoted. Anyhooser, I was making $8.95 an hour, and minimum up here is $8.60. And whenever something goes wrong or the store's a mess in the morning and the numbers are all wrong and don't work out, who do they blame? Me, of course! Because I'm more experienced, which is fine, but it doesn't matter. You can't let a 19 year old run an entire store by herself just because her other coworker doesn't do fuck-all.

I was going to quit and go back to the hockey rink that I used to work in. I'd be going back to minimum, but at least I'd have less responsibility, my head wouldn't be on the chopping block all the time, and I would like who I work with. Well, I told this to my boss and she begged me to stay and gave me a huegliekwhoa raise. I'm not sure exactly how much yet, but she said it was definitely over $10 an hour. So I stay. And I guess every three months you're there you get a raise as well.

But ya know. I've been saving since May for this trip to Mexico. My friend said I should go with her and her family and we talked and joked about it as if it was one of those "Hey, let's go to the moon one day" kind of things. You know, when you say you should make a big trip with someone but you never really go. But we joked about it, and all of a sudden here we are. I'm going to Puerto Vallarta for two weeks at an all-inclusive resort. Costing me $2353, but hey. I think it'll be nice to go on a trip like that and knowing that you earned it. I like traveling on cruises with my dad and all, but this time I'll know that this is the fruits of my labour and that I deserve to go on this trip. But having my dad pay for it all and take us to exotic places is nice too.

Phew. That was a lot to catch up on. And that was only the jist of it, I suppose. Well.
